The New France Festival

As soon as the results of the Carnival are in, the team gets into New France mode!

Stimulated by the success of the last edition, which enjoyed a 35% increase in the number of visitors, the 2014 SAQ New France Festival will be a historic event not to be missed!

This year, the event will host more than 400 activities, parades, shows, animations, re-enactments and conferences meshing creativity and diversity. From August 6th-10th, 2014, the entire city will go back in time thanks to its prestigious historic festival. The ingenuity of the settlers is emphasized this year with the theme The Builders’ Momentum, a tribute to the first North American settlers. Re-enactments of a shipyard, the installation of a water mill, the construction of a church and forts and encounters with builders from yesteryear are only some of the activities offered by the biggest historic festival in North America.
