The Canoe Race, a legendary competition, has been held since the Carnival’s first edition. Each year, several courageous teams compete with one another during a tumultuous ride along the St. Lawrence River between Québec City and Lévis.
The race is divided into two parts, the preliminaries and the final, on the St. Lawrence River. The Elite masculine class, the Elite Feminine Class and the Sport Class are the three categories included in the program. The men in the competition class go twice around the circuit between Québec City and Lévis.
