Blizz : Where Winter and Summer unite. A place where it's totally normal to wear your gougounes¹ with your doudoune².

Only steps away from the city, come have fun on the slides and visit Bonhomme's Winter oasis this Summer !

¹Gougoune : Quebec expression that designates " beach or pool sandals."
²Doudoune : Duvet jacket that Quebecers wear in cool weather.

The dome

The dome is an impressive structure decorated with cushy waves of fabric reminiscent of the northern lights and tons of suspended snowflakes. Varied activities will be on offer:

Bonhomme’s Float

Come discover the legendary world of the Quebec Winter Carnival Parade by climbing aboard Bonhomme’s float, taking a selfie with a statue of the Carnival King himself and even exploring a secret room in the float.

Human-Powered Rest Area

To rest or cool off, the human-powered rest area is the perfect spot! An iceberg with built-in mister can be hand-cranked by a friend or kind stranger.

Blizzard Box

The Blizzard Box is unique. It offers a winter backdrop and a bonus illusion of being caught in a blizzard. It’s the perfect place to take pictures with your family or friends.

This summer, come experience winter as we turn the seasons upside-down

Make Me a Snowflake

Awaken your inner artist in a fun family activity called “Make me a snowflake.” The goal is to use fragments of plastic snowflakes to create a sculpture

The Blizz Slide, powered by Village Vacances Valcartier.

You can’t go to the Quebec Winter Carnival without trying out the varied, original slides set up year after year. The same goes for Blizz!

People can enjoy a 45-meter (150-foot) slide to imagine being at the Carnival on one of the typical winter slides.

The Experimential Shipping Containers

Three immersive experiences have been set up to make you (re)discover the Quebec winter and also to experience the festive atmosphere of the Quebec Carnival. Your senses will certainly be stimulated!

  • The winter vortex: A whirlwind that draws you into glacial cold, Nordic winds and powdery snow. A doorway to another season!
  • A music box that lets you play and compose melodies using winter sounds: Skate blades on ice, snow crunching underfoot, piercing wind and other echoes of winter will fill your ears and spirit.
  • The winter party, where you can experience the history, festivities and activities of the Quebec Winter Carnival, while you create an arrowhead sash out of light.

What else?

  • Carnival-themed products will be available for purchase on-site through a vending machine.
  • For drinks and food, Parc de la Chute-Montmorency provides various bar and dining services.
