    Quebec City, February 11, 2018 — The Quebec Winter Carnival organization once again draws a positive picture of its great wintertime event. This year’s Carnival offered a diverse program featuring activities suited to various interests across multiple sites, including nearly 20 new activities that accounted for about 40% of the program. To mention only a few of the many events and features that captivated visitors at the 2018 Carnival, this edition included a Butt-Rider Race, Ice Sculpture Workshops where participants created their own masterpieces, the popular VIA Rail Ice Slide right on Grande Allée, Chop Your Log Presented by Videotron, the Night Parades and their many jaw-dropping innovations, and the unique and innovative Odyss Land of Ice immersive and interactive experience.

    Quebec City, January 18, 2018 — The Quebec Winter Carnival completes its official program by joining forces with three wintry sites and 15 activities across the greater Quebec City area. The Carnival helps promote these activities, which are however produced independently. Access requirements vary from one activity to the next, but many offer privileges to those who wear the 2018 Carnival Effigy.

    Quebec City, January 18, 2018 — The Quebec Winter Carnival presented by Loto-Québec has revealed the program of its 64th edition. Some 20 new activities join those already announced in 2017. Fans of novel experiences will be delighted by Défi-Évasion: The Legend of Jos. The impressive Sap Tap Bar is the setting of a fantastic ambiance at Jos’ Camp Presented by Videotron, which also offers Jos’ Trail with Marto Napoli. Children can test their strength, wits and finesse at On the Trail of the Golden Moose. Everyone is welcome to try out Christie’s Curling or to build ice models of Quebec City’s most famous monuments at the DuProprio Ice Village. This, and so much more!

    The Ice Palace Comes to Life through Odyss Land of Ice, an innovative experience at the Loto-Québec Zone

    Quebec City, November 30, 2017 — Thanks to the contribution of our partner Loto-Québec, the Quebec Winter Carnival proposes a brand new highlight for its 64th edition, set to take place from January 26 to February 11, 2018. Odyss Land of Ice, an innovative adventure by BlackOut Design, transforms Bonhomme’s Ice Palace into an interactive playground come nightfall. During the day, the Palace remains open for sightseeing visits. It will also host graffiti artists during the weekend, including Phelipe Soldevila. Bonhomme’s Ice Palace thus proposes two different, original experiences before and after sunset. Odyss Land of Ice, a 2018 Quebec Winter Carnival exclusive, is only one of many activities at the Loto-Québec Zone, at place de l’Assemblée-Nationale. Each 2018 Carnival Effigy includes one ticket for the Odyss experience. As places for this activity are limited, participants must schedule their visit either online or on site on the day of the event.

    Quebec City, November 30, 2018 — Today, the Quebec Winter Carnival unveiled some of the activities of the 64th edition, which will take place from January 26 to February 11, 2018. As last year’s formula of activities spread out across town was a success, the festivities will return to various sites all over the city. Carnival activities are accessible with the Effigy, which is available on presale in participating Couche-Tard locations for $10, taxes included, until December 31, 2017.

    Quebec City, January 10, 2017—The Quebec Winter Carnival has unveiled activities to complete its 2017 program. Many new events join those already announced, along with two new sites, place D’Youville and Les 3 Brasseurs. The program features new activities of all kinds: sports events like Snowga, the Snow Racer Grand Prix and the Lumberjack Challenge, the highly artistic Videotron Virtual Studio and interactive illumination at the Snow Sculptures Presented by Cominar, a meditative experience. With winter gourmet experiences and associated activities on seven themed sites also joining the program, visitors of all ages are sure to find just what they’re looking for from January 27 to February 12, 2017.

    Quebec City, December 1, 2016—With the Quebec Winter Carnival Effigy going on presale for $10 per unit until December 31, 2016, the Carnival is ready to offer a first glimpse of its 2017 program. From January 27 to February 12, 2017, the Carnival breaks out of the Plains of Abraham to resettle at a number of sites across the region. Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale, the parc de l’Esplanade, the parc de la Francophonie, the parc de l’Amérique-Française, Old Lévis, the Quartier Petit Champlain, Lac-Beauport and many other sites will welcome the themed entertainment and associated activities of a renewed program offer.

    Quebec City, November 30, 2016—The famed Snow Sculpture Contest returns to the Carnival for a 45th time. In 2017, the parc de l’Amérique-Française will host both the National and International Categories of the Snow Sculptures Presented by Cominar. Visitors are welcome on site free of charge—no Carnival Effigy required.

    Quebec City, February 2, 2016 – The Quebec Winter Carnival announces the Plains of Abraham Carnival site will reopen on noon today, February 2. The site of Bonhomme’s Ice Palace (Loto-Québec Zone) will remain closed today: Carnival workers are maintaining the Ice Palace following adverse weather beyond our control yesterday.

    Quebec City, January 12, 2016 – Earlier today, the Quebec Winter Carnival announced the official program of the 2016 edition of the largest winter carnival on Earth! These varied activities are focused around three main axes: play, celebrate and meet. Some new activities include the Winter Symphonie, Christie’s Giant Bowling, the Yukigassen, the Snowtime! Traveling Fortress and the Snow Racer Grand Prix with Marto Napoli.
