About the Effigy
The 2025 Effigy, presented by Vidéotron, is the official pass for the Quebec Winter Carnival. Made in Quebec from recycled maple tubing, it provides access to activities of the Carnaval de Québec. The
The Effigy also grants you access to a winter discount booklet, including coupons valid at several merchants, as well as discounts and privileges at various events during the winter season.
Attention collectors: in 2025, you’ll find two types of Effigies, one yellow and one blue (rarest), distributed randomly. Rest assured: both give you the same benefits!
Effigy is not required for children aged 12 and under.

The 2025 Effigy Contest
Tourisme Jacques-Cartier invites you to experience an unforgettable winter adventure!
Enter our contest and win a family getaway (2 adults and 2 children) at the Stoneham Tourist Resort. The prize includes:
- Accommodation at the Hôtel Stoneham for 2 nights;
- 2-day access to the resort;
