Bonhomme’s Ice Palace is an emblematic landmark in Québec City, Canada. This grand ice castle is entirely built from ice blocks and rises each year in the Loto-Québec Zone, near Old Québec.
The palace usually features multiple sections, each offering a different experience for visitors.
The Snow Bath is one of the most popular activities at the Québec Winter Carnival. Participants dive into a snowbank outdoors wearing only swimsuits and snow boots!
It’s both a challenge and a fun, invigorating experience for anyone brave enough to face the Québec winter head-on.
The Night Parade is a colorful, festive spectacle — a unique opportunity to celebrate Québec’s winter spirit alongside thousands of spectators. Naturally, Bonhomme himself is always there, leading the fun with pride!
The Ice Sculptures exhibit offers a magical way to experience Québec City. Created by local and international artists, these pieces often draw inspiration from winter themes and Québec’s cultural heritage. Simply magical!
A signature event of the Carnival, the Canoe Race takes place on the icy waters of the St. Lawrence River, where dozens of teams compete in four categories: Open Elite, Women’s Elite, Mixed Elite, and Sport. Spectators are invited to attend the race for free from Quays 19 and 21 of the Port of Québec.
