Several actions will be implemented to minimize our impact on the environment.
- In partnership with Énergir, we will collect residual materials, and for the first time, send them to the biomethanization plant in collaboration with the City of Quebec. We will also provide waste, recycling, and refundable deposit bins at all our sites. Furthermore, the 2024 Effigy is 100% Québécois and made from recycled maple tubing.
- We are once again partnering with Tuque & Bicycle Experiences to offer winter bike parking at the Loto-Québec Zone.
- The Vidéotron shuttles, offered free of charge to Effigy holders, will allow carnival-goers to move between our three main sites: the upper town, the quays of Espace Quatre Cents, and Place Jean-Béliveau. They can park on the outskirts of the city and use the shuttles to get around. We also encourage people to prioritize public transportation through the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) or carpooling.
